Chiropractic

It’s not just for low back pain.

Many people think chiropractic care is only good for a sore lower back, and that simply isn’t true. Chiropractors train to diagnose and treat a wide range of problems, for the whole family.

Dr. Grant aims to solve the problem, not just relieve the symptoms. Along with chiropractic adjustments she offers decompression therapy, taping and corrective exercises to help you get better faster, and she works with many medical doctors and neurologists when you need more than one kind of help.

What patients notice

Gentle hands. A good listener.

People come for the relief and stay for the person. Here’s what they mention most, in their own words.

  • She listens

Your first few minutes are about you: what hurts, when it started, what you’d like to get back to.

“She takes the time to actually LISTEN to her clients, and tries to find the root cause.”

    A patient, 2009
  • She’s gentle

Not a fan of twisting and popping? Low-force tools like the Activator do the work with a light tap instead.

“I do not respond well to direct manipulation, so I also appreciate the fact that she can use activators.”

    A patient, 2009
  • She sees the whole you

If something isn’t a chiropractic problem, she’ll say so, and point you to the right doctor.

“She got down on her hands and knees and had me walk up and down the hall.”

    A patient, 2016
  • She’s good company

Feeling better is serious business. The visits don’t have to be.

“Dr. Grant is one of my favorite people on earth!”

    A patient, 2014

How gentle is gentle?

Three tools that do the work, so you don’t have to brace.

Dr. Grant uses low-force techniques: no big twists required. Press the buttons to see how each one works.

  • The Activator

A small, spring-loaded instrument. Instead of a twist, you feel one quick, light tap right where it’s needed. One patient called it “that super cool clicking adjustment tool.”

  • The drop table

One section of the table is set up a fraction of an inch. As Dr. Grant adjusts, it gives way and drops, so the motion does the work instead of force.

  • Decompression

A slow, gentle stretch that eases pressure between the vertebrae. Often used for disc problems and sciatica.

New here?

Your first visit, step by easy step.

No pressure, no long sales pitch. Here’s how it goes.

  1. Call or send a note

Call (619) 562-6860 or request a visit. We’ll find a time that suits you.

  2. Talk it over

Dr. Grant listens first: what hurts, how it started, and what you’d like to get back to doing.

  3. A full evaluation

She explains how chiropractic care works, checks how you move, and sends you for x-rays only if they’re needed.

  4. A plan that fits

If chiropractic is a good fit, you’ll make a plan together. If something else is going on, she works with medical doctors and neurologists and will point you their way.

Tip: wear comfy clothes!
